ARTICLE 1: SCOPE
This society shall be named the CENTRAL MINOR HOCKEY FEDERATION herein referred to as the Federation.

ARTICLE 2: BOUNDARIES
The Central Minor Hockey Federation shall operate solely within the boundaries of the Halifax and Dartmouth regions, such boundaries are determined by Hockey Nova Scotia Minor Council.

ARTICLE 3: MEMBERSHIP
1. Membership of the Central Minor Hockey Federation shall be comprised on a voluntary basis of:
(a) Minor hockey Associations located in the Halifax (Halifax, Sackville, TASA, Bedford, Chebucto) and
Dartmouth ( Dartmouth , East Hants , Cole Harbour , Eastern Shore ) Regions.
(b) The elected executive of the Central Minor Hockey Federation.

2. Each member association shall, as a prerequisite of membership, be a member in good standing of Hockey Nova Scotia Minor Council.

3. An association may be admitted to the Central Minor Hockey Federation only by application at and to the annual general meeting of the Central Minor Hockey Federation.

4. It was passed by Motion on
September 08, 2002 that no associations outside the Halifax/Dartmouth zones will be accepted into the Central Minor Hockey League.

5. Should any member of the Central Minor Hockey Federation amalgamate, the new association shall automatically be a member, provided the amalgamation was approved at the Annual general Meeting (AGM) of Hockey Nova Scotia Minor Council. The old Association membership which existed prior to the amalgamation shall automatically be terminated.

ARTICLE 4: REGISTERED OFFICE
The registered office of the Central Minor Hockey Federation shall be determined and registered annually by the President of the Central Minor Hockey Federation.

ARTICLE 5: AMENDMENTS TO THIS MEMORANDUM (articles)
Additions or alterations to this memorandum of association may be made by the members of the Central Minor Hockey Federation at the annual general meeting or special meeting by a Special resolution, provided such a resolution is circulated in writing along with the notice of the meeting at least 15 days in advance of the meeting. Such resolutions shall require a ¾ majority of those in attendance and voting.
